Headquartered in Birmingham, Alabama, the Greater Alabama Council serves youth and adult volunteers in 20 counties in North & Central Alabama. We operate 5 camping properties, and have 2 offices. Our mission is to provide character development, citizenship training, and growth in physical, mental and spiritual fitness, to help create the next generation of leaders.

National Youth Leadership Training, or NYLT, is a six-day, five-night course that gives Scouts BSA, Sea Scouts, and Venturers tools to grow as leaders to strengthen their units.
